The Colchester visit was part of an asignment for the senior partners in the North Sea Faring project. The mini project was to come up with preposals for the regeneration of three sites along the river in Colchester. Each of the sites had their particular requirements to design for such as site 1 which was a small parcel of overgrown land between the bridge and the university buildings. Site 2 was a long thin stretch of land which need the views of an electrical substation masked and site 3 was a section of river bank sited between the university campus and used as a point boats could turn in.
Site 1 parcel of overgrown land.
Site 2 thin stretch of land along rivers edge.
Site 3 river bank along sited within the university grounds.
The mini project was a good exercise in rapid response to a brief the clients wanted numerous ideas in the space of 4 days the time constraints meamt there was no time for debating an idea just time to commit to it and create the preposal. This was a fun break from the normal process and a good chance to work to a live brief.
